The Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS) has opened the online application for admission to Class 9 for 2026–27 for the Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Selection Test (JNVST). The online application started from 30 July 2025 and will be available up to 07 October 2025 (extended date). Interested candidates should check all eligibility conditions, instructions, and key dates before submitting their application online.

Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Selection Test (JNVST)- 2025

  • Candidates should reside in the district within which the Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya is located and should have appeared and qualified the 8th Standard examination from a government or government-approved school situated in that district. The candidate must apply for admission to the Navodaya school in the same district as that of the candidate's residence.

● Alternatively, visit the official website of the NVS  to complete the application process.

● Ensure that the application is submitted successfully before the last date, 7 September 2025.

Photo

  • A current color passport-sized photograph that has been scanned. The background must be white or light-colored.


Signature

  • A scanned signature on a white background, and should be written with a black or blue pen. 

Caste Certificate

  • It applies to candidates who fall under the SC/ST/OBC category. This must be a valid certificate.

Domicile Certificate

  • Required if you are applying under the Rajasthan state quota.

Income Certificate

  • Needed if you are applying under the Economically Weaker Section (EWS) category.

Category Certificate

  • A card or document that shows proof of being in a special category, such as PWD, ex-servicemen, etc., and attach the relevant document.

Aadhaar Card / ID Proof

  • You can provide a government-issued ID like an Aadhaar card, voter ID, or passport, for your identity to be verified. 

Other Supporting Documents

  • any other documents required in the official REET notification that depends on your category or qualification.
